USS Constitution

I finally found some time to get pictures uploaded of my masterpiece, also known as the USS Constitution, or Old Ironsides.

Clocking in at 50 inches long, or 160 studs, it is my longest ship by a bit, and at 42 inches tall, it is my tallest ship by a long shot. being the first ship that I have built that couldn't fit in my back seat of my car kind of points to that fact.

This also breaks a few other records, one of which being it has 50 guns, (and none of them the offical cannon piece!) which is almost 20 more then my previous high. Of course, I had to keep it accurate to the real thing.

I am very happy with how this ship turned out. 10 days (one of my longest builds) of building, most of those weekdays with work, I was forced to take my time building, but it payed off.  Things like the bow took almost two days to get right, but in the end, I am very satisfied.  The stern, as shown above, wen through at least one major rebuild. I call it my masterpiece for a reason.

If you didn't get a chance to see it at Brickcon, then check out the Brickshelf folder
